Snow Leopard

The snow leopards are founded in the mountain of the Himalayan & Central Asian region at an elevation of 3,000-4,000 meters above sea level.

In Pakistan, the snow leopard is founded only in the Hindu Kush and Karakoram region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir with an estimated population of around 200-420 according to the Snow Leopard Trust.

The snow leopards frequently kill the goats and sheep of local farmers. Sometime the farmers kill the snow leopard during the attack on their animals. However, the authorities do not normally react with such speed, particularly somewhere so remote, because snow leopard protection is important to both the communities and officials

S# City / Station Schedule
01 Islamabad Arrive at Islamabad Airport, meet our guide with transport & transfer to hotel.

Transfer to hotel for dinner & overnight.
02 Islamabad – Taxila – Naran / Besham

 

 After an early breakfast drive from Islamabad to Naran / Besham via Taxila visit.

At Taxila we will visit: Museum, Sirkap city and Jaulian Monastery.

Lunch enroute at local restaurant. Continue drive to Naran / Besham.  

Arrive and transfer to the Hotel for dinner and overnight.
03  Naran / Besham

 

        Gilgit

 After breakfast, drive from Naran or Besham to Gilgit via Chilas.  

Enroute visit rock carving at Shityal. Lunch at Chilas.

Lunch enroute at local restaurant.

After lunch, continue drive to Gilgit. Enroute enjoy the view of Nangaparbat 8125m and Rakaposhi 7788m.

Upon arrival transfer to Hotel for dinner & overnight.
04  Gilgit – Gulmit or Passu After breakfast drive from Gilgit to Karimabad & continue up to Upper Hunza, Gulmit or Passu.

Lunch at Rakaposhi View Point.

After lunch, continue drive to Gulmit or Passu.

Arrive and transfer to the Hotel For Dinner and overnight
05  Gulmit or Passu

Visit Passu / Khunjrab Area

 After an early breakfast, leave for watching snow Leopard (Rare chance to see) in Khunjerab National Park Area.

 Pack Lunch will be served.                                          

At evening, return back to hotel for dinner & overnight at the hotel.
06  Gulmit or Passu

Visit Passu / Khunjrab Area

 After an early breakfast, again leave today for watching snow Leopard, if could not watch on D5.

AND if watched then proceed to watch the other different animals in these mountain areas on different sides.

Pack Lunch will be served.                                          

At evening, return back to hotel for dinner & overnight at the hotel.
07 Gulmit or Passu – Karimabad On the last day, if we could not see on Day 05 & 06, we will leave for one more chance today.

Pack Lunch will be served. After lunch, continue drive to Karimabad.

Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for dinner & overnight.
08 Karimabad – Gilgit Today spend the full day at Karimabad to explore the winter living of people of Hunza Valley during Cold Winter.

Visit Baltit Fort and Karimabad Bazaar. After visit, drive to Gilgit.

Lunch at Rakaposhi View Point. Later continue drive to Gilgit.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
09 Gilgit – Islamabad

 

OR

 

Gilgit – Besham / Naran

 

 Transfer to Gilgit airport for flight to Islamabad by PK ___ at __ hours.

 Upon arrival transfer to hotel. 

Afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Islamabad, including Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh view point and in Rawalpindi visit Raja Bazaar.

Return to hotel for dinner & overnight.              

OR

If flight gets cancelled, drive from Gilgit to Besham / Naran via Chilas.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
10 Islamabad – Rohtas Fort

Day Excursion

OR

Besham / Naran – Islamabad

 After breakfast, leave for Rohtas Fort Day Excursion.

 After lunch at local restaurant at Dina, drive back to Islamabad.

 Upon arrival at Islamabad & after an early dinner transfer to airport for _____at______ hours.

OR

Complete the road journey from Besham / Naran to Islamabad and after an early dinner transfer to airport for _____at______ hours.
