01 Islamabad-Shogran Drive from Islamabad to Shogran via Taxila Museum, Abbottabad, Balakot-Shogran.

Taxila (World Heritage Site), is an archeological Buddhist site dating from 03rd century B.C to 05thcentury AD.  It’s about 32KM from Rawalpindi / Islamabad and driving time is about 01 hour. Visit Taxila Museum and famous sites like Jaulian, Sirkap and Dharmarajika stupa. Later drive back to Rawalpindi. Spend some time in Raja Bazar to enjoy the local culture.

Continue drive to Abbottabad.

Abbottabad – is located in the Hazara region of theKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. 50 km northeast of the capital Islamabad and 150 km east of Peshawar. Abbottabad has been attracting tourists to the city since the colonial era, as it is a major transit point to all major tourist regions of Pakistan such as Nathiagali,Ayubia and Naran. The KarakorumHimalayas and theHindukush ranges can be approached from Abbottabad and it continues to be a transit city for tourists. After Abbottabad we will pass through the lush green village. Lunch at Abbottabad.

After lunch continues drive to Balakot.

Balakot, is located about 38km from Manshera, on the banks of the River Kunhar. Syed Ahmad Shaheed and Shah Ismail Shaheed, with the help of the Mujahideen, including the 6 Swati’s tribes of Balakot against the Sikhs. At last on 6 May 1831, during a fierce battle, Syed Ahmad Shaheed and Shah Ismail Shaheed along with hundreds of their followers were killed. The central mosque of Balakot is named after Syed Ahmed Shaheed. The areas include diverse groups; the predominant spoken languages are Hindko and Gojri. Pashto is also spoken. The town was completely destroyed in the massive earthquake on 8 October 2005. The United Arab Emirates has volunteered to rebuild this town into an improved one with housing colonies, schools, hospitals, and other civic facilities.

Continue drive to Shogran – is on a green plateau in Kaghan Valley. Village was affected by the earthquake of 2005. It is 34km from Balakot. From Shogran, you can ride a jeep or horse or hike to several picturesque places like Siri Paye and Makra Peak. Local people are friendly and peaceful.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

02  Shogran – Naran

 

 

After breakfast, ride a jeep and visit to Siri Paye.

Siri Paye – is a beautiful hill station. It is situated in Shogran near the Kaghan valley. Its two different places Siri and Paye and Makra Peak.

Makra Peak is in Hazara region & is 3,586m high. It is a tourist place with plenty of hotels. It is a walking trek of four hours to the top of Makra. Hiking Makra is difficult task due to snow and slope of the peak. Although it can be normal peak to climb, deaths have occurred in storms. Main reason for deaths is too much fog when weather goes bad, and too much slope. Waters of its glacier feed the Kunhar River. In spite of the difficulties, the top offers the scenery of Hazara andAzad Kashmir. Continue drive to Naran.

Upon arrival transfer to Hotel for dinner and overnight.

03 Naran Spend the full day in Naran.

Morning visit to Lake Saiful Muluk – is one of the most beautiful lakes one can imagine to exist on the surface of this earth and called romance, love and adventure. When we talk about this lake, words fail to describe its beauty. Anyone who has been there once can never forget the time that was spent in the company of this enchanting lake. 

Afternoon visit to Lalazar – is a tremendously picturesque landscape situated at a height 10400 feet. It is about 21 km from Naran valley. Many tourists after visiting Saif-ul-maluk visits Lalazar and stay here. Many adventurers like to camp at Lalazar valley as a base for the hike to Lake Saiful Muluk through Hans Gali. After spending some time, drive back to Naran.

Arrive and transfer to hotel for dinner & overnight.

04 Naran – Islamabad A.M leisure at Naran. After early lunch, drive back to Islamabad.
