01 Islamabad Upon arrival at Islamabad Airport by ______at ______Hrs.

Meet our guide with transport and transfer to hotel for overnight.

02  Islamabad – Naran Drive from Islamabad to Naran.

Abbottabad is located 50 km from Islamabad & 150 km from Peshawar. Abbottabad has been attracting tourists to the city since the colonial era, as it is a major transit point to all major tourists.

Lunch at Abbottabad, later continues drive to Naran.

Naran is near about 280 kms from Islamabad; 150km from Babusar Top is 4173m above sea level & is famous summer destination. It is a popular tourist attraction locally as well as internationally. There are various day excursions like Lake Saiful Muluk, Lalazar, Lake Lulusar and Babusar Pass. There are also several short walks and treks around Naran.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for dinner & overnight.

03  Naran – Chilas

 

After breakfast drive to Chilas (120kms).

Enroute visit Batakundi, Jalkhad and Lalusar Lake.

Batakundi: The most magical and breath-taking area of Kaghan valley, just few kilometers farther from Naran, called Batakundi is a must visit. Green lush meadows.

Lalusar Lake: Lalusar Lake, at 3,410m. It flows southwest through the entire length of Kaghan Valley passing Jalkhad, Naran, Kaghan and Balakot until its confluence with the Jhelum River. The lake is much larger than other lakes in the Kaghan Valley, and has mirror-like water reflecting the surrounding snowcapped Lulusar mountains, creating a natural tourist attraction.

Babusar Pass: Babusar Top is a mountain pass at the north of the 150 km. long Kaghan Valley connecting it via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakorum Highway. It is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley.

Cross the Babusar Pass, Gitidas and arrive at Chilas.

Chilas is a small town located on the left side of River Indus.  Chilas was on the ancient caravan trail over the Babusar Pass into India and on the Indus trail of Besham, and many rock engravings were left by travelers in this area.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

04 Chilas – Fairy Meadows Morning drive from Chilas to Raikot Bridge. Drive by local jeep up to Tato and hike to Fairy Meadows.

Fairy Meadows: In 1953 Austrian climber Herman Buhl made the first ascent of Nanga Parbat, named it Fairy Meadows on account of its wonderful scenery. It is a lush green plateau at 3300m, located at the western most edge of the Himalayas in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Northern Pakistan. It offers a breathtaking view of north face of majestic 8126m high Nanga Parbat.

Upon arrival transfer to Raikot Sarai.

05 Fairy Meadows – Beyal Camp Excursion After breakfast trek to Beyal Camp and visit to Nanga Parbat View Point.

Bayal Camp: Trek from Fairy Meadow to Nanga Parbat Base Camp 4000m via Bayal Camp (3500m). It is wonderful place surrounded with beautiful thick Pine forest, spellbinding views of Raikot Glacier.

Lunch, dinner & overnight at Raikot Sarai.

06 Fairy Meadows – Astore – Rama Lake After breakfast, arrived back at Raikot Bridge. Drive to Astore and continue up to Rama Lake.

Rama Lake – is near Astore village. It is a beautiful resort situated in thick pine forest.

Upon arrival transfer to Motel.

07 Rama Lake – Skardu After breakfast drive to Astore, Gurikote-Chilam-Shucer Lake – Deosai Top-Sadpara Lake and continue up to Skardu.

Skardu: This is the main town of the region Baltistan and the capital of Skardu District. Skardu is located in the 10 km wide by 40 km long. It is situated at an altitude of nearly 2,500m.

Upon arrival at Skardu transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

08 Skardu – Hushe Morning drive to Khaplu – Kanday and continue up to Hushe.

Hushe is the last village of the Ghangche district of northern Pakistan. It is the highest village in the once extremely remote and impoverished valley.  It is at the east of Skardu in the foot of Masherbrum Mountains which leads to Gondogoro La to K-2 Base Camp and the great walls.

Upon arrival transfer to Local Restaurant for dinner and overnight.

09 Hushe – Skardu Morning drive back to Skardu.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for lunch, dinner and overnight.

10 Skardu – Shigar Valley excursion After breakfast drive by jeep to Shigar Valley for full day excursion.

Shigar Valley is about 32 km north east of Skardu & is watered by the Shigar River. The valley stretches about 170 km from Skardu. Shigar valley’s gentle, irrigated slopes are filled with terraces of wheat, maize and barley. Its orchards of apricots, mulberries, peaches, plums, pears, apples and nuts are unique to Baltistan. The wooden mosque in the middle of the town was built by Kashmiri carpenters several hundred years ago.

Lunch at local restaurant.

After visit, return to Skardu for dinner and overnight at hotel.

11 Skardu After breakfast full day local visit like Kharpocho Fort, Skardu Cold Desert / Sand Dune and finally proceeds for Shangrila, visit Lower and Upper Kachura Lakes.

Kharpocho Fort:  Skardu has an ancient Fort known as Kharpocho Fort (King of Forts) situated on a hill overlooking the town. It was constructed by Ali Sher Khan Anchan, who ruled over Baltistan till the end of the 16th century. The mighty Indus snaking along just a few yards beneath your feet among the silvery white sands is an awesome sight.

Skardu Cold Desert / Sand Dune – is located in Skardu & is marked as one of the highest deserts of the world. This is one of the most beautiful tourist’s attractions of Northern Areas. There are huge sand plains in this area.

Kachura Lake:  About 32 km (20 miles) from Skardu and 2 hours by jeep lays the shimmering peaceful deep Shangrila Lake also called Kachura Lake. During spring many exotic and colorful flowers adorn its banks, while peach, apricot and apple trees are laden with blossoms in April. Later in summer one can taste the apples. 12 Skardu – Hunza -Duikar After breakfast drive from Skardu to Karimabad, up to Duikar.

Enroute lunch at Astak Nala.

Duikar – is summer village, at an altitude of approximately 10,000 feet. From the crest of the hill, we have panoramic views of lower Hunza Valley, Nagar Valley, Rakaposhi, Hoper Glacier and Ultar among the others.

At arrival, transfers to the hotel & in the evening enjoy the Sun-Set view.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

13 Duikar – Karimabad Today the guests have to get up early to enjoy the Sunrise View at Duikar.

After breakfast drive to Karimabad & proceeds for visit to Nagar.

Nagar: Nagar was an autonomous principality in close association with neighboring Hunza. The British gained control of both states between 1889 and 1892. The British retained Nagar’s status as a ‘principality’ until 1947. The state bordered the Gilgit Agency to the south and west, and the former princely state of Hunza to the north and east. The state capital was the town of Nagar.

After visit drive back to Karimabad and visit of Altit, Baltit Fort and bazaar.

Altit Fort is about 3 km above from Karimabad. It has been built on a sheer rock-cliff that falls 300 meters (1000 feet) into the Hunza River. It was originally home to the ruler of the Hunza State, who carried the title Mir. It is said that the present language Brushaski was brought here by the white Huns in 47 A.D.

Baltit Fort– was the old palace of the Mir of Hunza and was inhabited until the 1950. The Fort is about 800 years old. The local people say that a princess of Baltistan married with reigning Mir and brought with her some Balti masons, carpenters and craftsmen to build Baltit as part of her dowry. It stands on a cliff edge and now is a museum and cultural centre. For a spectacular view of Fort, walk along the irrigation channel that comes from Ultar Glacier.

Later, visit Karimabad Bazaar & transfer to hotel for dinner & overnight.

14 Karimabad  – Gilgit – Naltar Excursion After breakfast drive to visit Hassegawa Public School, then continue drive to Gilgit via Rakaposhi View Point.

Lunch at Rakaposhi View Point.

Gilgit is an old tribal town that acted as a rest stop for weary travelers on the silk route- the famous road from China to the Arabian Sea. It is located in the heart of the Karakorum Range, surrounded by lofty peaks.

Afternoon, Naltar Valley excursion.

Naltar is a valley near Gilgit; it is 40 km from Gilgit and can be reached by jeeps. Naltar is a forested (Pine) village known for its wildlife and magnificent mountain scenery. Now the communication is available by the efforts of Pakistan Army. There are ski lifts under the ‘Ski Federation of Pakistan’. Transport is available from Gilgit to Naltar but during a specific time after that own arrangement.

Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

15 Gilgit – Phander After breakfast, drive to Phander.

Phander in Ghizer District & is one of the most scenic valleys with easy access both from Gilgit and Chitral. It takes 5 to 6 hours from Gilgit to reach Phander.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for dinner & overnight.

16 Phander – Gupis After breakfast drive to Shandoor Pass and up to Gupis.

Gupis – is located about 112 kilometers (70 miles) in west of Gilgit on the bank of River Gilgit, in District Ghizer of Gilgit-Baltistan region. It is a little valley with Sunnis and Ismailis living in harmony. Gupis has been serving as a junction between Yasin and Phander. It is the central place from all valleys like Phander, Yasin and Ponial etc. Meals and overnight at the hotel.

17 Gupis – Gilgit After breakfast drive back to Gilgit.

Lunch on the way at Local Restaurant.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

18 Gilgit – Islamabad Transfer to Gilgit Airport and fly to Islamabad.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for lunch.

Afternoon, brief visit to Faisal Mosque, Loke Virsa & in Rawalpindi visit Raja (King) Bazaar, Silver and Gold bazaars will allow us to catch traditional craftsmen at work.

Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Or in case flight gets cancelled, drive to Besham.

Besham – is the largest town and commercial centre; shops are famous for China and international goods. In summer this small town is the centre of international and national holiday makers.

Upon arrival at Besham transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

19 Islamabad – Taxila Excursion Full day visit to Taxila including Julian, Sirkap and Taxila Museum.

Taxila. Taxila is 35km & 45 minutes drive from Islamabad. Taxila is the archaeological site of Gandhara Buddhist civilization dating from 500 BC to 500 AD. Arrive and proceed for sightseeing to Taxila Museum and eight sites scattered around a very short radius. Amongst the best preserved are Sirkap, Jaulian (the University) and Mohra Moradu.

Or complete the road journey from Besham to Islamabad.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

20 Islamabad – Lahore After breakfast, drive to Lahore via Rohtas Fort.

Rohtas Fort, is about 10 km from Deena, The great Fort is one of the most imposing historical monuments, which represents the Pathan period of architecture style in Pakistan. The Fort is the symbol of strength and determination of its builder Sher Shah Suri who ruled over India only for six years, 1540-45 A.D

Lunch on the way at suitable place.

Upon arrival at Lahore transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

21 Lahore Full day visit to Lahore including Badshi Mosque, Lahore Fort, Anarkali Bazaar and Lahore Museum.

After lunch visit Shalimar Garden and continue drive to Wagah flag ceremony.

Later, after an early dinner transfer to Lahore airport for onward flight.

22  Arrive back at home
